INTRODUCTION TO THE RCSA CODE FOR PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT

 



Australian Jobspec fully follows RCSA’S CODE FOR PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE (the Recruitment and Consulting Services Association).

Following the Code for Professional Conduct means that Australian Jobspec practices are always of the highest standard.


The RCSA Code for Professional Conduct  (Code) and its Disciplinary and Dispute Resolution Procedures  (D&DRP) are authorised by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).

Australian Jobspec must uphold the highest standards of ethics and honesty at all times.

Australian Jobspec must abide by a Code for Professional Conduct which establishes the following principles



PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT

Observe a high standard of conduct honesty, equity, integrity, and social & corporate responsibility

CONFIDENTIALITY & PRIVACY

Properly maintain confidentiality and privacy of information received in professional practice

HONESTY

Act honestly in professional dealings, meeting truth in advertising standards

WORK RELATIONSHIPS

Avoid actions that would unlawfully or unfairly harm work relationships; Act lawfully and fairly in transition dealings

LEGAL COMPLIANCE

Comply with relevant legal, government and statutory requirements; Avoid unlawful collusion

SAFETY & SECURITY

Act diligently in assessing and responding to safety and security risks

CERTAINTY OF ENGAGEMENT

Strive for certainty in arrangements made with clients and work seekers

PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE

Work to develop satisfactory and up-to-date level of relevant professional knowledge

GOOD ORDER

Report Code breaches and use processes for the amicable resolution of complaints


The RCSA Code for Professional Conduct is issues by the authority of the Recruitment & Consulting Services Association Australia & New Zealand


The Code in Detail



The resources below are available for all RCSA Corporate Member organisations, their staff and Individual Members to ensure that all those who are acknowledged as Members of the Association or who are employed by Members have every opportunity to understand their obligations under the Code for Professional Conduct – the core platform for industry best practice and which binds all Members on acceptance into the Association. 

As well as the Code for Professional Conduct, it is important to understand the RCSA Constitution and RCSA Constitution- By Laws.

The final component of the Code is the Disciplinary & Dispute Resolution Procedures
